I'm a Computer Engineering graduate. With React Native, I build interfaces that feel simple and fluid on the user's side, backed by services that are stable and reliable. In my dev process, I treat today's AI tools as active work partners — speeding up architecture decisions and catching edge cases early.

Step away from the screen and you'll usually find me running or at the gym; I like carrying that same dynamism and discipline from the codebase into the rest of the day.

Pixel Art Challenge

A new theme every day, a pixel canvas, and community voting — a mobile app I built end to end from scratch at Eterna Teknoloji.

  • Built the drawing, daily-challenge, and voting modules with React Native and TypeScript.
  • Set up authentication with Firebase Auth and modeled the data as NoSQL in Firestore.
  • Automated the contest cycle with Cloud Functions: the server enforces the timer, counts votes, and starts the next theme on its own.

Tile Motif Detection

An object-detection model that identifies and classifies motifs and symbols in Turkish tile (çini) art.

  • Trained a YOLOv8-based model on four motif classes: tulip, carnation, çintemani, and hyacinth.
  • Improved model accuracy with data augmentation.
  • Built an interface with Streamlit that finds the motif in an uploaded image and explains its symbolism and history.

ColorVision Enhancer

An image-processing system that separates colors that blend together for users with deuteranopia (red-green color blindness).

  • Simulated color blindness by mapping the image into LMS color space.
  • Simplified the image into its dominant colors with K-Means clustering.
  • Made red and green regions distinguishable by separating their brightness in HSV space.

  • Built the Pixel Art Challenge mobile app from scratch with React Native and TypeScript — including a drawing editor, a voting engine, and profile management — and set up the automated contest cycle and archiving with Firebase Auth, Firestore, and Cloud Functions.
  • Built automation software for the Lipyum app using the Iconify REST API; reduced 9,000+ raw service sectors to 614 categories and streamlined the production of 36,000 images.
  • Ran quality control and user-scenario testing for Beatify, a mobile app live on the App Store; fixed critical production bugs in profile management and media upload.
